Why I Wrote This Book
Every parent knows this moment, the "I want, I want, I want!" screams at the supermarket, the toy store, the checkout line. It's exhausting! As parents, the traditional response is explaining budgets, saying "we can't afford it," or normally just giving in, which never feels quite right.
I wrote "I Want, I Want, I Want!" because I believe there's a better way. Kids don't learn money habits from getting lectures. They learn from stories that mirror their own experiences, characters they can relate to, and adventures that capture their imagination.
Dave, like our children, is not perfect — wants everything, all at once — but through his journey, kids see that waiting, saving, and making choices can be just as exciting as instant gratification.
My Mission
"To make financial literacy a natural part of childhood — not through textbooks, but through stories that children love and remember."
What I Believe
Stories First
Financial concepts wrapped in adventure, not lectures.
Kids as Heroes
Children learn best when they see themselves in the story.
Parents as Partners
Tools and resources that make teaching money fun.
Meet the Author
Hi, I'm Michelle Egbosimba — a wife and mother, a woman of faith whose compass is the gospel and the grace of Christ, and an author who believes that every child deserves to grow up financially confident. "I Want, I Want, I Want!" is my first book in the Dinosaur Dave series that aims to empower and enable parents to teach their children about money principles that they can grow with, even as we move into a more digital world.
When I'm not writing or dreaming up new dinosaur adventures, I love spending time with my family and community of (amazing) friends, preferably outdoors.
